The heartbroken mum, 42, hopes that her disabled 18-year-old will thrive and become more independent living in full time care.

After sharing her news with readers of The Sun, Katie has been inundated with messages of support. She has now reached out to her followers, saying: "Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support over the past few days. "It means a great deal to myself and Harvey." Katie has raised disabled Harvey mostly as a single mother.
