KATE Garraway wants her ill husband Derek Draper to attend the NTAs with her after their documentary about his Covid battle was nominated.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 54, left viewers in tears with her ITV documentary in March and it has now received a nod for Best Documentary at the National TV Awards.

Derek is the UK's longest-suffering Covid-19 patient and currently requires round-the-clock care as he recovers at home. But Kate said she hopes Derek will be well enough to walk the red carpet with her in September.
