18), offering a ray of hope to help viewers get through a difficult global period.The country-pop star gave “a sincere thank-you to all the people out there risking their lives” prior to the performance, in which she played “Rainbow” on piano as images of hand-drawn rainbows flashed across the screen.
The unadorned song was punctuated with Musgraves lingering on one of its lyrical declarations: “It will all be alright.”“Rainbow” is the final song on Musgraves’ acclaimed third album Golden Hour, which won the album of the year Grammy in 2019.
