JOHNNY Vegas has revealed helping elderly people during lockdown has helped him grieve following the death of his parents. The comedian, 49, has been volunteering in his home town of St Helens - delivering care packages and vital PPE to NHS workers and vulnerable people in the community.
He told Sue Perkins' An Hour Or So With... podcast: “It’s like some cloud has lifted from me – I honestly feel like this has given me an opportunity to heal.” And his good deeds have remedied the anger he's felt over his dad Laurence's death from bladder cancer in 2017.
He continued: “I’ve walked past his photos and I’ve refused to look at him. Now, I’m having conversations with him like he’s sat next to me.
