Wigan Warriors star Jackson Hastings insists he is not fretting about playing for England after helping the Combined Nations All Stars to beat them in Friday’s mid-season international.
The Australian played for Great Britain under Wayne Bennett during their ill-fated tour of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea at the end of the 2019 season.
He qualifies through his English grandmother but Shaun Wane has overlooked him since becoming England boss in February 2020.
With the World Cup scheduled for later this year – a final decision on whether it will be played is to be made in the middle of next week – Hastings still has time to convince Wane he deserves a shot with England.
