The 20-year-old character recently thought she was expecting boyfriend Craig Tinker's baby and after a miscarriage scare she was devastated to find out she had never been pregnant.
Corrie fans saw a pale Faye emerge from the bathroom and tell her friend Emma Brooker she ws bleeding and feared she was losing her baby.
At the hospital Faye and her partner waited for the scan results but were shocked by what they were told. "I did a pregnancy test it was positive," she said.
But the sonographer told her it was a 'false postive' and explained: "Modern tests are very reliable but they can show a false positive."
