Match of the Day pundits Alan Shearer and Ian Wright have both identified former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane as the best European player to have ever graced the Premier League.
After joining Nottingham Forest from Cobh Ramblers in 1990, Keane made the switch to Old Trafford three years later in 1993 for a fee of £3.75m - which was a British transfer record at the time.
Though it was a big fee at the time, Keane soon repaid the faith that United had installed in him, proving himself as a key part of Sir Alex Ferguson's team at Old Trafford.
During his 12-year stay with the club, the former Republic of Ireland international carried the responsibility of being club captain and winning seven Premier League titles.
