Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby squealed with pain as she has her ears pierced live on air on Thursday’s This Morning.The presenter, 39, revealed she had originally had them pierced when she was 12 and wanted to get them re-done.

Candidly explaining that she pierces them herself every Sunday night in order to wear earrings on Dancing On Ice, the stunning star winced through the pain as she had both lobes pierced in a segment revealing the top trends for 2020.

She told co-host Phillip Schofield: “Every time I go out to put an earring in my ear, I practically have to re-pierce them.
