Holly Willoughby was left on the verge of tears on Tuesday's instalment of This Morning as guest Tan France spoke about the horrific racism he faced as a child.
Fronting a new BBC Two documentary called Beauty And The Bleach, the Queer Eye star appeared on the ITV show to discuss the impact colourism had on his life after he was beaten up and left for dead at only five years old.
Now based in Salt Lake City, Utah, 38 year old Tan explained that the experience left him unable to return to Doncaster to film for the documentary. "It's the reason I don't live in the UK now.
I was working to school, I was on my own. It was literally a block away, not even two minutes," Tan explained.
