Heating back on at Royal Bolton Hospital after issues meant patients had to be turned away

Heating issues which forced Royal Bolton Hospital to turn away emergency and maternity patients have now been fixed. Yesterday (Saturday December 4) bosses issued a statement which confirmed that the hospital had 'lost all heating'.

The statement read: "We are currently experiencing issues with our heating systems and unfortunately have lost all heating at Royal Bolton Hospital.

We are working hard with our estates team at iFM Bolton to restore heating at the hospital, and hope to be back up and running as soon as possible.
