Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
Markle was raised in Los Angeles, California and has a mixed ethnic heritage. During her studies at Northwestern University, she began playing small roles in television series and films. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. She represented international charity organizations and received recognition for her fashion and style, releasing a line of clothing in 2016.

It has been claimed the Duke of Sussex was unaware of his grandfather's death until police turned up at his and Meghan's £11 million home to let them know of his passing.
Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9 at Windsor Castle, with officials at the US Embassy then trying desperately at 3am local time to reach Harry at his mansion in Montecito, California.
It's unknown if the couple's telephone ringer was switched off, but, reports TMZ, an Embassy representative then called the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department and asked if someone could drive over to Harry and Meghan's residence to let.
