Greater Manchester calls on government to confirm extra vaccine supply

This morning the government unveiled a ‘strengthened support package’ to the conurbation as case numbers more than doubled week on week in many boroughs and hospital admissions doubled in a fortnight, albeit from a relatively low base.

That package includes ‘rapid’ military assistance, supervised testing in schools, local advice to wear masks in schools, further support for testing and contact tracing and specialist communications, but does not yet explicitly include additional vaccine
