SIM said in a Tweet that it would not be open for the rest of today (Friday) due to issues with the water supply. United Utilities said there had been a problem due to maintenance work being carried out the M3 area.
The problem has now been resolved, an official said. An updated statement posted on the United Utilities website said: "Good news, we’ve now rectified a technical fault in the M3 area of Manchester and your taps should be flowing again.
