Wigan.No one was home at the time, but the men are thought to have ran in front of traffic on the road as they fled the scene.Officers say the owner of the firearms was licensed to keep them in the house, and that they are treating the burglary 'very seriously'.No arrests have been made in connection to the incident, which happened between 1pm and 1.30pm on Wednesday, May 20.Police in Wigan have now issued an appeal for witnesses to the burglary.Detective Constable Cherylin Allen, of GMP’s Wigan division, said: “This burglary happened in broad daylight and we are confident that there may be a number of witnesses who are able to assist with our enquiries.“We are treating this burglary very seriously and are following all lines of enquiry.
