Fundraising drive for funeral of 'beautiful' alleged murder victim smashes target

A drive to raise money for a "beautiful" woman who was allegedly murdered in her own home during the coronavirus lockdown has smashed its target.

A fundraising page was set up to help the family of Louise Aitchison, 33, to pay for her funeral. The dental receptionist, who doted on her disabled sister Stephanie, was found dead in her East Kilbride home last week.

Family friend Jamie Allison, who is friends with Louise's sister Stephanie, launched the GoFundMe appeal, in a bid to raise £1,500.And in the four days since, more than double that figure has been raised - with a total of £3,815 being donated in Louise's honour.Jamie wrote: "I'm hoping to raise money to help towards the funeral costs for our beautiful friend Louise aged just 33.
