The health care assistant at the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, found the glass windowpane and front door smashed when she woke on Saturday morning, Teesside Live reports.

The Cranswick Close home's kitchen window was also damaged during the incident at around 12.40am.The homeowner said: "I work at North Tees Hospital and had done four 12-hour shifts."After finishing at 8.15pm I picked my son up who stays with my mam, came home and gone to bed."I got up during the night to get a drink and was sat on the edge of the bed and heard a noise."I thought it was something.
