Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
Markle was raised in Los Angeles, California and has a mixed ethnic heritage. During her studies at Northwestern University, she began playing small roles in television series and films. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. This time, it was over whether they should ask best friend Rhona to be Vanessa's son Johnny's guardian if she died. During the row, Charity revealed she hadn't gone through with adopting Johnny was because she couldn't bear the thought of Vanessa dying - not because she didn't love him.
However, rather than seeing Emmerdale's tumultuous couple make up, after the adverts they had already settled the argument off-screen.
