The navy Ford Focus was spotted by officers from GMP's Traffic branch attempting to take a late exit off the motorway. After realising that he'd made the stupid error, he slammed his brakes on, parked up and jumped out of his car, police said. Live motorway traffic can be seen moving past the vehicle on both sides. The driver of the Focus was reported, the force confirmed.
