Entertainment Weekly, author Lauren Weisberger - who wrote the book the film is based on - revealed that there have been lots of talks about a potential TV series or sequel.
This makes sense, as she released a sequel to the original book which saw Andy team up with her former office nemesis, Emily, on their own publication. 'There have been a lot of conversations about it,' Lauren said. 'I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility. 'However, the film’s director David Frankel is less keen.
He said, '[The studio] didn't ask for [a sequel]. We had a meeting where we said, "What could we do if there was a sequel?" Maybe it was stupid; we felt like, No, this story has been told. . .
