legacy.comDarick Campbell was the lap steel guitarist with the gospel band the Campbell Brothers.Campbell and his brothers grew up in the House of God church, where their father was a bishop.
By the time Campbell was 8, he was playing drums with his brothers in the family band. He later began studying steel guitar, learning the “sacred steel” tradition of the House of God’s gospel music.
Eventually, the Campbell Brothers organized, taking their music from the church to the recording studio and releasing their debut album, 1997’s “Pass Me Not.” They released several other albums, including the successful “Can You Feel It?” (2005).
