The SNP minister will still carry out her duties, albeit virtually. Yesterday, the Scottish Government announced no new covid deaths has occurred in the last 24-hour period.
Since the start of the pandemic in March last year, 8,103 Scots have passed away after contracting the virus. There were 3,893 new cases of the virus identified in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 551 people in hospitals across Scotland battling the virus, with 52 being treated in intensive care units.
