Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

New figures show that a further 10 people died in the first week of December, bringing the total number of Renfrewshire fatalities to 293.Half of these deaths took place in local care homes.In the past fortnight alone, 14 older people died after contracting the virus in residential care.The news comes as the self isolation period for close contacts of people with Covid-19 has been reduced from 14 to 10 days.The change, which comes into effect on Monday, has been approved after a review of the medical evidence.Research, published yesterday, is also showing that new treatments are improving the chances of survival for covid patients admitted to intensive.
