Sign up to our newsletters here.Renfrew Dry Cleaners was able to make the improvements to their shop front thanks to a grant scheme from Renfrewshire Council called the Retail Improvement Scheme.
The scheme allows businesses to make improvements, repairs or upgrades to the front of their shops.Sharon Chall, manager of Renfrew Dry Cleaners, has said that the scheme has allowed them to welcome people in wheelchairs into the shop now by making the access more user-friendly, something that wasn’t possible before.
She said: “ The new shop front looks very nice and customers who have come into the shop have complimented on the new look. Even people passing by in the street have complimented the work that has been done. “One thing that’s really made a difference is we get a lot of customers coming in wheelchairs, but the previous door was so tight they couldn’t always get in.
