Drama is never far away from the Coronation Street cobbles. And it was far from a happy Easter in Weatherfield as trouble seemed to appear around every corner.
In Easter Monday's hour-long episode of the soap former drug dealer Jacob Hay, who is trying to win over new love Amy Barlow and her family, took advantage of corner shop assistant Evelyn Plummer over-ordering alcopops and decided to sell them in Victoria Gardens.
A vengeful Simon Barlow reported Jacob to the police and as they arrived at Victoria Gardens Jacob did a runner, leaving the last boxes of alcopops on the bench.
But there was a serious mix-up as police officers found diabetic Summer Spellman slumped on the bench.
