More than 125,000 people were caught taking part in illegal gatherings during the pandemic – including an 82-year-old gran.Figures obtained by the Sunday Mail show 973 arrests were made and 17,000 fixed penalty notices issued, totalling just over £1million.A further 939 people were issued with the £60 on-the-spot fines for breaching lockdown travel regulations.The figures cover the period from March 2020 to October 25 last year.A total of 129,014 people were caught in the illegal gatherings, with 4891 being forcibly removed by police.Offence hotspots included north Glasgow, south-west Edinburgh, Stirling and West Dunbartonshire.In April, Maureen Hogg, 82, was given a £60 penalty after attending a 70th birthday party of a friend in
