Common mistake PIP claimants make on DWP claim form which could cost them hundreds of pounds

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) after data released by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) indicated that while the number of claimants across the UK had fallen, there was a rise of 2.7 per cent in Scotland.

By the end of October 2020, a total of 279,067 Scots were claiming PIP - an increase of 12,957 since the beginning of April.

PIP is a benefit for people who need help with daily living tasks or getting around outside the home as a result of a long-term illness, disability or mental health condition.
