Chilling images show a blood splattered window at the scene of suspicious death in Johnstone.Police officers and forensic teams remain on MacDowall Street this afternoon after a police probe was launched following the death of a 40-year-old man at around 1.50am.Emergency services raced to the area after reports of an incident, but the man was pronounced dead.His death is currently being treated as suspicious.A 59-year-old woman was also found with serious injuries.She was rushed to The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his condition has now been described as stable.Horror photos taken on the street where the man and woman were found earlier today, show a window frame of ground floor flat covered in blood.A forensic tent has been erected outside a property, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances.

MacDowall Street remains closed at its junctions with High Street and Quarry Street.A Police Spokesperson said: “Around 1.50am on Wednesday, 1 June, 2022, police responded to an incident in MacDowall Street, Johnstone.

Officers attended and a man, aged 40, was pronounced dead at the scene."A 59-year-old woman was taken to QEUH with serious injuries, however, medical staff describe her condition as stable."The death is currently being treated as suspicious.“Enquiries are at an early stage and officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information regarding it to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0213 of Wednesday, 1 June.
