East Ayrshire will teach youngsters how to reduce food waste and make their ingredients go further. The Food For The Future scheme, launched by The Prince’s Foundation and developed in partnership with Jamie Oliver, Jimmy Doherty and The Soil Association, will be piloted at the charity’s Dumfries House headquarters this month.It will initially benefit 48 local secondary pupils with the goal for it to eventually be rolled out nationally.Pupils will have the opportunity to learn from experts in farming and cooking – including industry visits – and harness skills to prepare a range of seasonal, nutritious dishes while minimising food waste.Jacqueline Farrell, education director for The Prince’s Foundation at Dumfries House, said: “Through our.
