Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and actress.

She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor (U.S.) in 2012, signing a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.

While a part of Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

‘You said you hated the ocean, but you’re surfing now. I said I’d love you for life, but I just sold our house.’ It’s obvious, from the outset, that Camila Cabello’s tale is one of love lost. ‘We were kids at the start, I guess we’re grown ups now.

While the opening lyrics tell of a relationship expired, their juxtaposition against a buoyant acoustic guitar beat suggests Camila’s feeling optimistic.

Sonically, it’s already easy to compare the song to Camila’s 2019 collaboration with Shawn Mendes; Señorita. The point of difference here being that, while Señorita’s story was one of insatiable summer lust, Bam Bam’s is one of bittersweet estrangement.
