For dozens of sex workers in Manchester it’s still ‘business as usual’ during the coronavirus crisis. The women continuing to work the city’s streets are at the ‘sharpest end of vulnerability’, living through chaotic and unstable situations.

In the early weeks of the outbreak many women were able to secure temporary accommodation in hotels. Those with drug habits managed to get prescriptions for methadone to try and beat their addictions.

But there are some who are continuing to work throughout the pandemic despite the risks, and it is these women that Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH) are still trying to help. “Women are concerned about the virus and how it's going to affect them business-wise,” says operations manager Tina
