Bradley Cooper has undergone a complete transformation in his latest Netflix film judging by the unrecognisable first images released from the project. The 47 year old is playing legendary composer Leonard Bernstein in the title named Maestro, which he is also directing, and stars alongside Carey Mulligan, who plays wife Felicia Montealegre, and Succession’s Jeremy Strong who features as critic John Gruen.

Netflix shared the first few stills from the film on Monday, leaving fans shocked as they barely caught sight of Bradley underneath the heavy age-old make-up applied to him.The Hollywood actor is seen in character as Bernstein in his older years with white grey hair and glasses and is wearing a slightly unbuttoned white shirt revealing wrinkled skin at his neck, showing the extensiveness of the faux ageing process.

Some of the film images released are in black-and-white and show Bradley in a more recognisable appearance, playing a younger Bernstein as he is pictured with actress Carey dressed in 1940s clothing.
