Big-hearted Race Across The World champs Emon and Jamiul to give £15k of BBC2 show winnings to charity

THEY landed the £20,000 prize by just 20 seconds in the Race Across The World finale. But big-hearted winners Emon and Jamiul are not planning on a big splurge with their windfall.

Instead, the uncle and nephew will use it to help street children and orphans. In the BBC2 show, five pairs of travellers competed to be the fastest getting from Mexico City to Ushuaia in Argentina.

As they reached the finish line in Ushuaia, the world’s most southern city at the base of the Andes mountains, Emon and Jamiul told how they were moved by the plight of homeless kids on the trip.

In an exclusive chat, Emon said: “We decided whatever happened, we wanted to give money back to South America — £10,000 will help a lot.” They will also donate £5,000 to.
