Bernie Sander

Bernard Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is an American politician who has served as the junior United States Senator from Vermont since 2007 and as U.S. Representative for the state's at-large congressional district from 1991 to 2007. He is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, although he has a close relationship with the Democratic Party, having caucused with House and Senate Democrats for most of his congressional career. Sanders unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and 2020.

By Dominic Patten Senior Editor, Legal & TV Critic States are being called all over the country in tonight’s Super Tuesday primaries, but Bernie Sanders picked up some strong support from a Central Florida God, at least a fictional one.

As voting continues in delegate rich California, Kirsten Dunst came out swinging for the Vermont Senator. A John Kerry supporter in 2004 and backing Barack Obama in 2008, the star of Showtime’s On Becoming a God in Central Florida said that it was her “honor to join my voice with his, and the millions of hardworking people who know another world is possible and are ready to fight for it.” – as you can see in the Emmy nominee’s tweet below.
