Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Ben Davies offered Celtic contract but Bournemouth look to hijack deal for in demand defender

Ben Davies has received a pre-contract offer from Celtic but it's understood that reports he's agreed a deal are premature. The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to negotiate a move to Parkhead.

Manager Neil Lennon is in need of defensive cover with centre-back Christopher Jullien out for the season. In addition Jeremie Frimpong has been sold to Bayer Leverkusen for £11.5million.

Kris Ajer has filled in on the right but that has meant moving Nir Bitton to centre-back.Davies can play on the left or in the centre and if a deal could be found for this month that would allow the Norwegian to continue on the flank.
