Alison Hammond got an extra day on This Morning this week as she filled in for Covid-stricken Holly Willoughby. The presenter, who usually presents the ITV daytime show on a Friday, joined Phillip Schofield on Thursday's show after Jose Gibson stepped in to Holly's shoes for the rest of the week.
And with it being St Patrick's Day, This Morning got into the Irish spirit and the penultimate episode of the week opened with a performance from Imelda May.
Shortly after Imelda's performance, it was over to the hosts to welcome viewers to the show and reveal what was coming up over the two-and-a-half-hour programme.
But Alison suffered a slip up as she got her words jumbled. Then later, the 47-year-old told viewers at home that she didn't "know what was wrong" with her before admitting she needed her glasses. "Welcome back to This Morning, now you're not seeing double," she said. "I've actually got my glasses on because I couldn't see, I couldn't see the autocue today.
