A man was taken to hospital after he was 'attacked with a broken bottle' in Bolton. Officers were called to Darley Street, in Farnworth, Bolton, at around 2.15pm yesterday afternoon in response to reports of an assault.

An air ambulance was also sent to the scene, along with paramedics. However, a police spokesperson said his injuries were not life threatening. And, GMP have since confirmed that a 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
