Louise Whelan, 30, was driving a black Mercedes with two male passengers when she was pulled over on November 12 last year - despite lockdown rules preventing people from gathering with people outside their household, the Liverpool Echo reports.

She was stopped in West Derby, which is a 30 minute drive from her home on Rankin Street, in Poulton, Merseyside. Officers stopped Whelan’s car because she was “struggling to stay between the white lines and there was a strong smell of cannabis emanating from the vehicle”,
