They are urging anyone who may be able to help to come forward. Officers were called to Irlam station in Salford shortly before 9pm on Monday (September 6) to reports of a person on the tracks. His death is not being treated as suspicious, British Transport Police (BTP) said. Cops have now said that despite 'extensive enquiries', they have been unable to identify the man and trace his next of kin.
