94th Academy Awards ceremony next month will not have to show proof of vaccination against COVID.That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, which revealed that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will only require guests to show proof of a negative PCR or lateral flow test to gain entry to the ceremony on March 27.The Academy, however, declined to comment on the reported entry requirements. It requires its own employees to be vaccinated (with rare medical exemptions).As THR notes, the organisation is technically adhering to the latest minimum requirements from the Los Angeles Department of Health.

Hearthstone streamer Alexandra Alliestrasza Macpherson was swatted mid-stream, with police handcuffing her and her family.Macpherson is one of the most prominent female Hearthstone streamers on Twitch, and last night (February 9) her stream was interrupted by a police raid. The police were there because someone had filed a false report that was serious enough to warrant a fully armed response, specifically to target the Streamer during their broadcast. The practice is known as swatting.After a commotion was heard in Macpherson’s house, she left the room, until a group of three armed officers can be seen moving through the house and clearing the room used for streaming (as reported by PCGamer).Macpherson returned to the stream 25-minutes later and said, “I’m gonna turn the stream off now.

Joe Rogan returned to the stand-up stage on Tuesday night where he dedicated some time to discuss the recent cultural scandal surrounding his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience."  The popular podcast host, whose show is exclusive to Spotify, has been the subject of scrutiny in recent days after musicians on the platform called him out for spreading COVID-19 misinformation as well as using racial slurs in past episodes. With only eight days remaining in President Trump's term, the House of Representatives is barrelling toward a second impeachment vote in the coming days as outrage about the president's role in the storming of the Capitol by his supporters last week continues to reverberate throughout Washington, D.C. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will take two major steps toward impeaching Trump, which would make him the only president to be impeached twice.  Tuesday evening, the House will vote after 7:30 p.m.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn said former Trump Cabinet members Elaine Chao and Betsy DeVos, who resigned in protest of the Capitol riots, were "running away" from their responsibility to invoke the 25th Amendment.  In an interview with CNN, Clyburn said that invoking the 25th, where the vice president and a majority of Cabinet members can agree to relieve the president of his duties, was preferable to launching another round of impeachment proceedings in the final days of the Trump presidency.  Clyburn admitted that less than two weeks was likely not enough time to both impeach and remove President Trump.
