Shaun continued: “Age UK Scotland seemed the most appropriate charity to start from – I will make up the hampers and distribute them to 50 elderly people or couples and donate the rest but that was only based on the figure of making £500.“I believe 50 hampers will cost roughly £250, and I planned to donate the other half to Age Uk Scotland.“But if I can raise more I would love to be able to contribute more hampers.“The more smiles I can create on my birthday the more of a success it’ll be – my only issue is now finding a birthday cake big enough to share around!“My mother and father have split up and they both live on their own, so loneliness is something that’s been on my mind since the beginning.
