Boris Johnson has announced that wedding receptions can resume from August 1.While nuptial ceremonies in places of worship were permitted from July 4, guests can now attend wedding receptions.But there is a catch as only 30 people are allowed to attend, and social distancing measures will have to be followed.Speaking at a press conference from Downing Street, The Prime Minister revealed a string of leisure facilities that can reopen from August 1 including bowling, skating, and casinos.“We will also allow wedding receptions for up to 30 people,” he said.Meanwhile, larger gatherings and live performances could open in autumn - subject to the success of pilots.Mr Johnson added: “Nightclubs and soft play areas will sadly need to remain closed.
