Toby Carvery and Harvester will extend the Eat Out to Help Out scheme at its Scots branches beyond the August 31 cut off date.

Customers at both restaurants, which are owned by Mitchells & Butler, will be able to get 50% off food and soft drinks on Monday to Wednesday until September 9.

This will come 10 days after the UK Government initiative wraps up, which has been used by Scots throughout August.
