A woman is in hospital after being knocked down by her own car as she shouted for help in a horrific robbery in Bolton. The victim, aged in her 60s, ran outside to call for help after she found a stranger in her home in Church Street in Horwich, police said.
She was then hit by own car - a black Volkswagen T-Roc - as the male suspect stole it. Her handbag was also stolen in the incident. The car - with the registration plate MA18 WZT - has since been recovered. Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
They particularly want to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage which shows the car from around the time of the incident - which happened at around 9pm on Sunday (February 27).
