THIS Morning's Phillip Schofield suffered a major on-air blunder today after gazing directly into very bright lamp. He and Rochelle Humes were testing out various tech to combat seasonal affective disorder when Phillip nearly singed his eyes.
Positioning a SAD Lamp, which is ten times stronger than a regular lightbulb, just inches from his face, Phillip was left grimacing as its luminous rays blinded him just as item expert Dr Philippa Kaye warned not to look directly into it.
He said: "You could have told me that before I looked into it!" She laughed: "Sit a couple of feet away from that whilst you read the paper, do your work, read your script there Phillip." The condition, which is more than just winter blues, is said to have affect around one in 20 people.
Dr Philippa said: "It gets better quite quickly in the spring time. You may get depressed, low, irritable, anxious that may make you withdraw and become socially isolated." Elsewhere viewers were left puzzled after Holly Willoughby failed to return to the show.
