Hair gurus have said for a while now that sleeping on satin is the best fabric for healthy hair, and curl influencers have raved about the effect it has on reducing frizz, even days after washing.

Cotton pillowcases can zap moisture from the hair, a big no-no for curls which often lack hydration anyway. Dry hair tends to snap and split, and with curly hair this can make your curls frizz out.

Not a good look. But satin is said to keep moisture on the surface, which should result in silky instead of dry hair. Satin also helps to keep frizz at bay, which is ideal for those, like me, with curly hair.
