Sir Sean Connery's death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from both his home nation of Scotland and tinsel town. Scots have been reminiscing about their own memories of the acting legend, who passed away aged 90 on Saturday.
While some only remember the icon from the silver screen, others encountered Connery in the flesh. One event that brought Scots in the central belt to a standstill, was when the James Bond star took a trip to Paisley, Renfrewshire.In 1970 thousands of fans packed into the town centre to watch Connery officially open the Paisley Piazza shopping centre.Donning a crisp, white shirt tie and long coat the suave actor drew crowds from all over as he famously cut the red ribbon for the town's new shopping.
