Laura Whitmore has announced that she will no longer be presenting Love Island, after she took an unexpected career change into the world of the West End.The Irish model, 37, had taken over from Caroline Flack back in 2020 as a temporary replacement but has now decided to step away from the spotlight of ITV2's loved reality show.
Love Island fans questioned the latest series, with claims of bullying, walk-outs and more mental health issues coming to light.
Laura has confirmed her departure, and said: "There are certain elements of the show I've found very difficult." Taking to Instagram Laura wrote: "Some news!
I won’t be hosting the next series of Love island. "There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
