Scottish Cup Final. A statement from the governing body on Friday night confirmed a plan to permit 600 supporters to attend the showdown between Hibs and St Johnstone at Hampden on May 22 had been crushed.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon had earlier announced that Glasgow - due to a bump in Covid-19 cases - would remain under Level 3 restrictions for at least another week.Stadia are only permitted to open under Level 2 or below.

The SFA statement said: "Following today’s Scottish Government announcement that Glasgow will remain under level three Covid restrictions for at least another week, the Scottish government have subsequently confirmed that fans will now not be permitted to attend the Scottish Cup Final."
