A shame-faced Scots youngster who prank called police as part of a “double dare” has apologised to the force.The 10-year-old, known as Miss Mackenzie, admitted she had dialled 999 on April 25 after being egged on by a friend.The primary school pupil has issued a heartfelt apology to officers in the Tayside division and promised never to do it again.Dundee Police tweeted a picture of the adorable confession letter and said: “A young lady called Mackenzie wrote a letter to officers in Dundee, apologising for falsely dialling 999 a few days before.“Hoax calls are a serious matter, and fortunately no resources were diverted to deal with her call.
