In the hours after the world learned that actor Chadwick Boseman had died Aug. 28 at age 43 of colon cancer, one of the more widely shared videos on social media was a 2018 clip of a group of middle-school students dancing with elation after finding out they’d be going to see Black Panther.
In the video —which quickly went viral two years ago, getting 10 million views on Facebook alone — the kids, students at Ron Clark Academy, a nonprofit middle school in Atlanta, Georgia, had just been told that they would all be seeing the film.
The joy and excitement expressed in it captured a lot about how Boseman’s career and his historic role in Black Panther had touched the world, and sharing it seemed a fitting tribute to his life and impact.
